Who we are

Yardly operates free material calculators at yardly.com. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not require accounts, and we never sell our own products.

Information we collect

When you use a calculator, your dimensions and inputs are computed entirely in your browser and are never sent to our servers. We may collect standard technical data through server logs and analytics providers (such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and approximate location), used only to operate and improve the site.

Cookies and advertising

Yardly is supported by advertising. We and our advertising partners (such as Google AdSense and, at higher traffic, Raptive) may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads and measure performance.

Third-party advertising. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your prior visits.

Yardly is a general-audience site for homeowners and DIYers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and our calculators are not directed to children.

Data retention and security

Calculator inputs are not stored by us. Log and analytics data are retained only as long as needed to operate the site and meet legal obligations. We use standard technical measures to protect data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
